Department of Energy EERE eXCHANGE using Login.gov – October 1, 2022

As of October 1, the Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE) is requiring users to login using multi-factor authentication through Login.gov to access the EERE eXCHANGE portal. Users will need to use a code that they through an authentication app or directly to their phone that is linked to their login.gov account.

With this change, Research Administrators are encouraged to have their own DOE EERE eXCHANGE and login.gov accounts to create and edit proposal shells. To have your GCO see and submit the proposal, you will need to share it with [email protected].

If PIs are starting the proposal shell, then please encourage them to share it with your individual login so that you can see and edit the proposal, as needed.

For more information on creating a login.gov account, please visit the What is Login.gov? page.

The login page of eXCHANGE has more information on the new login process.
Depending on who initiated the proposal shell, please share submission with the PI, [email protected], and the RA.
