Update, 2/23/2021 –
ERA has been updated to no longer require a new waiver if a decrease is made to senior personnel costs on a revised/simulation budget (with a carried-over, approved waiver from a previous version of the budget).
With this update, if/when the following changes are made to a revised/simulation budget, ERA will require a new F&A Waiver to be routed:
- Increases to Senior Personnel costs
- Budget increase
- Change in requested F&A rate or base

Original Post, 1/26/2021:
ERA has been updated to carry-over approved F&A Waivers when creating a revised/simulation budget on the same Funding Proposal (FP). A revised budget created from a sponsor budget that has a fully approved F&A Waiver, will also have the green “F&A Waiver Approved” banner automatically.
Note: If/when the following changes are made to a revised/simulation budget, ERA will require a new F&A Waiver to be routed:
- Changes to Senior Personnel costs*
- Budget increase
- Change in requested F&A rate or base
*In future updates, this feature may be further enhanced to only require a new F&A Waiver if the Senior Personnel costs increase (but not if they decrease).
