As a reminder, NIH has specific requirements for when to include a Resource Sharing Plan in a proposal submission. Any proposal that includes $500,000 or more in direct costs (exclusive of consortium F&A) in any budget period is required to include a Data Sharing Plan. Any proposal where the development of model organisms is anticipated must include Sharing Model Organisms plan. All proposals that includes research efforts that will generate large-scale human or non-human genomic data must provide a Genomic Data Sharing (GDS) plan. Please view the General Instructions for NIH and Other PHS Agencies (currently, Forms Version F) document for more information.
Per NOT-MH-19-033, all proposals involving human subjects submitted after January 1, 2020 are required to include a Resource Sharing Plan if the proposal is submitted or referred to NIMH.
The NIH Checklist on Research Admin has been updated to include this requirement.
