ERA has been updated to now include Sponsored Management Solutions and Support (SMSS) as a cost category in the ERA budget. When budgeting for a proposal with ASUF as the applicant and the budget totals $1M or more, you will need to include a line item for SMSS in the budget smartform 3.6 Other Direct Costs – Grid > “Sponsored Management Solutions and Support” using the table found on Research Admin’s Working with ASUF Sitelet. The Generate Budget Justification activity has also been updated to include a justification for SMSS costs.
