What is the Change Management Committee?
CMC serves as the forum to review, approve, implement, and communicate changes and information that impact research administration processes. Committee Members have been voted in by their peers and the current list of committee members is available on the CMC ResearchAdmin website.
CMC meets monthly to discuss ideas from Contribution Central, upcoming changes from sponsors and the university, and ongoing project updates.

Updates were provided to CMC on the new salary cap form. The current form allows the inputs to go above the salary cap. The new form eliminates this issue. The new form will be sent to the Fiscal Oversight team for review.
Work Instruction Project
Updates were provided to CMC. The project lead has created a spreadsheet and identified points of contact for each set of instructions. Instruction topics include Research Admin Process, Development of Proposals, Submit and Negotiate, Award Setup, Manage Subawards, Execute Project, and Closeout. CMC members provided feedback on high-priority topics that will be addressed first. This project will span for approximately 12 months.
Emerging Ideas Group
CMC revisited the topic of forming an Emerging Ideas Group. This group would be tasked with looking at all ideas that come in and the primary focus would be acknowledging and responding to individual ideas. The CMC recognizes that it is important that people feel their ideas are being reviewed. Ideas that are submitted between CMC meetings can be a potential topic in future CMC Newsletters.
20 Vote Threshold
The website has been updated to reflect the 20-vote threshold that was previously approved by CMC.
