The ASU Office of Government & Community Engagement has launched an ASU State and Federal Relations Letter of Support Request Form (ASURITE login required).
ASU proposal teams (PI/Unit) should fill out this form when seeking a letter of support from federal and/or state elected officials (i.e., Governor, Congressional Delegation, etc.). Below is a list of information and materials to gather in order to prepare and submit a request:
- Name of project or proposal
- Who is the request directed to – Federal congressional delegation, state government, or both?
- Proposal due date
- Deadline for letter of support
- Name(s) of Prime Sponsor and Direct Sponsor
- Link to the funding opportunity announcement (FOA)
- Brief (2-3 sentence) description of the proposed project
- Brief explanation of the importance of this proposal/award and what it will mean to ASU and Arizona
- Total potential award dollar amount
- Brief description (2-3 sentences) of the economic impact the proposed project is intended to have
- List of any partner institutoins/entities
- Are you aware of any other proposals that ASU may be submitting for this award?
- Any other information and details that will be helpful in garnering support for the letter request
- Draft letter of support (upload file)
